An environment-friendly extension to a 1920’s house in Wimbledon, set on a new timber terrace, A cantilevered roof floats over a continuous strip of glass allowing shafts of sunlight into the new dining area throughout the day, Sustainable materials included farmed timber for the frame and cladding, recycled newspaper insulation and a rubber roof membrane. The scheme also included the renovation of much of the interior and some internal works.
